Hello fellow moms living on survival mode. My name is Ginny, and I am just trying to live and survive this thing called life. While trying to navigate normal life crises, our family has the military to add a little extra spice to our everyday lives. As much as it may not seem so, I am the proud wife of an active duty service man in the Air Force. We have had almost 16 amazing years of living this military life. Along the way, we have been blessed to have 3 kids; Julia (11), Wyatt (9), and Torry (7), made life long friends, and created life long memories.

My husband is on his last leg of his commitment. We are coming up on our FINAL assignment; we’re excited to announce we’re moving to the Seattle area. We are looking forward to having daddy/hubby around more. We’re currently on a 6 month deployment with now an ending in sight. Only 2 more months and he’ll be home! Our household has been missing him and can’t wait to have him back safe and sound.

While living with our military community, I have been privileged to experience some amazing food amongst my friends. I love making them at home because it brings me a since of connection, and it allows my to feel these friends are still with me even though we may not be at the same assignment together. Our military friends have become more then friends, we do consider them family. When you live away from family and where you grew up, it can be hard and lonely. But the connections and relationships you make within your military community truly makes this whole process bearable.

I hope you enjoy following along with me and how we can get through this thing called “life” together. Hopefully we’ll be able to laugh and grow with eachother. Along the way, I hope you try some of my recipes, read some of my favorite books, and enjoy following along with my family.
